Landmarks

“Landmarks” is a quilt that captures pockets of intimacy in an impersonal space. Over the course of my final semester in college, I collected instances of disclosure on Google Maps. While most reviews are evaluative, some anomalous ones tell tales of love, joy, pride, loss, and anger. These outpourings are born from moments when their authors needed to be heard by the world, like a message in a bottle. This quilt is a love letter to the world.
