Venus Flytrap

The Venus Flytrap was my final project for Olivia Robinson's "Inflatables" course at CMU. I completed the project with two groupmates, Jennifer Shin and Kavya Tummalapalli. It was designed to hang above a crowd of viewers at WQED Studios during our final showcase, the "Hypnotic Pneumatic Circus." The jellyfish was made in 4 weeks. Our process included ideation, prototyping, patterning, sewing, dyeing, coordinating with the site managers, and installation. My responsiblities included designing the flytrap, planning the project timeline, and fabricating the installation.
